Volunteering – Our Hometown Heros

The City of Roy, established in 1908, has a population of about 800 and is a mile and a half long. We may be small in size, but we are large in spirit. Historically we pull together to meet the needs of each other and the City. From beautifying areas to refurbishing a building or raising funds for the medical crisis of a child, we have seen the citizens of Roy meet the need.

In honor of those who step up to the plate to meet the City’s current needs, this Hometown Heroes page has been established, where those who donate time, talent or treasure can be acknowledged. The City needs Hometown Heroes to step into the following volunteer position:

Water Advisory Committee

The mayor appoints citizens from each of the three main areas of the City to serve on the Water Advisory Committee. The committee’s purpose is to support the water system by sharing information and collecting input in the community. The committee also includes two council members, the mayor, and key city staff members. This is a standby committee to meet whenever the City studies choices or decisions of a nature that would benefit from this process. Please contact City Hall with your name, address, phone and when you are available to meet: days, evenings or both.
